Angela  Brown completed her MA in Media & Cinema Studies while working as an intern at Facets Multi-Media and the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival. After graduating she relocated to Seattle and began working in television research for the Nielsen TV Ratings. She returned to the nonprofit sector to work on Arts Corps’ Highline Creative Schools Initiative in SW King County and is passionate about the intersection of media literacy and social justice in the arts. Angela uses her own intersectional experience to influence her work and storytelling and is a photographer producing film and theater projects within Queer/Black/PoC communities. Angela has had the opportunity to assist with the Seattle Lesbian & Gay Film Festival, is a member of the University of Washington’s Tech Policy Lab youth expert panel Diverse Voices, and Reel Grrls’ evaluation task force.
